Mini Police
Well done to the five pupils from Y6 who were, this week, elected by their fellow students to be part of our Mini Police team.

Week beginning 24th September
With the 11+ tests now completed we will be starting to settle into a more regular routine.
We will be looking at some past SATs papers as part of our ongoing assessment program.
In English, we will be basing our writing on the short stories and animations of Shaun Tan.In Science we will be looking at the effects of exercise on the body.

On Wednesdays, we will be creating and performing dance routines so indoor kit (shorts and t-shirts) will be needed. As always PE kits should be available in school at all times in case of changes to the timetable.
In Maths, the focus is on measuring and calculating; areas, perimeters and volumes.

Golden Leaves
This week our Golden Leaves went to Tyler M and Macey-Jayne for their contributions to our work on First Aid.

Research or visit a Christian church. Find out about the different parts inside a church and what they are used for, e.g. font, altar, lectern pulpit.
English: Something lost
Write a description about how you felt when you lost a treasured possession.
If you have not lost a treasured belonging use your imagination to describe how you would feel.
Maths: Time
Practise telling the time using both analogue and digital clocks.
Collect examples of practical uses of time, e.g. photos of shop opening times, TV schedules, bus timetables..
